Quirindi and District Historical Society Inc, New South Wales
The Quirindi and District Historical Society was formed in 1960 aiming to collect and record the history of Quirindi and district, and to publish this information for the benefit of local people and researchers.
The society purchased the building at 44 Station Street, Quirindi (constructed in 1887) and opened it as the Historical Cottage and Museum in 1970. Other buildings were added on the site as collections expanded. A brick Archives Room was added in 1988.
Acquire by purchase or donation, and preserve for the society, books, manuscripts, newspapers, records, photographs and any such objects as may be considered to have a bearing on Australian history or the history of Quirindi and the surrounding district.

Publications outlining the development of Quirindi from the nineteenth century to 1990. Other publications detailing settlement of the surrounding district.
Open Wednesdays and Fridays 10am-2pm. Other times by appointment.
Advance notice of visit preferred.
Ample parking at the front of the Historical Cottage and Museum. Wheelchair access is available to all public areas of the building.
Original newspapers and microfilm can be viewed. A research fee is applicable.
