Mentone Grammar School is a leading Australian school. Founded as a boys school in 1923, and admitting girls in 2006, the school has continued to grow, develop and maintain a strong reputation for excellence in education - recently winning The Age ‘Schools that Excel’ Award 2019, in the category of non-government school in Melbourne’s south region.

Mentone Grammar is an independent Anglican day school, located in Mentone, a suburb of South East Melbourne. We welcome boys and girls of all backgrounds and religious beliefs. We are committed to our school values of Caring, Respect, Integrity, Endeavour, Service, Discipline and Resilience.
Mentone Grammar School is governed by a Board of Directors. The Principal reports to the Board of Directors and, with the Executive Management Team, oversees all aspects of the School.
We hold records dating back to the 1920s depicting the history and heritage of Mentone Grammar School and the students, staff, relatives, counsel members, benefactors and wider community that have shaped it.
