Manly, Warringah and Pittwater Historical Society, Sydney
The Society was established in 1924 and has amassed an archive of over 12000 items. It is continually researching the history of the Peninsula from Barrenjoey to North Head and from Killarney Heights to Cottage Point.
The Society keeps its members informed through its monthly newsletter (the “Peninsula Historian”), its website and monthly talks and is involved in local events.

Over 13,000 items are held in the collection, which includes a wide range of material, for example:

Two weeks' advance notice of visit desirable including details of proposed outcome of research.
The Society assists the general public and local organisations with their historical and archival enquiries and in doing so link with other historical societies both here and overseas.
Reference assistance is available in person and by mail. Referral to paid researchers is available.
