Mandurah Heritage Museum, Mandurah, Western Australia
In 1986 the Mandurah Historical Society established the Mandurah Community Museum in Dalrymple's Schoolroom. They managed and maintained it until the City of Mandurah took over in 2001.
The Museum building comprises of Mandurah's first government school (1899), police cells and courthouse (c1955). Items on display depict Mandurah's social history since European settlement in 1830, photographs show Mandurah's development.
Mandurah is a coastal city in Western Australia, situated approximately 72 kilometres south of Perth. It is the state's second most populous city.
Advice on issues relating to the management of the Mandurah Community Museum and its programs is presented to the City Council by the Museum Advisory Committee.
