The Archives form part of the Archdiocesan Chancery and fall under the responsibility of the Chancellor.
Records of the Archdiocese and its agencies.
The archives holdings comprise material relating to the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn (and the former Diocese of Goulburn prior to 1948) dating from the appointment of William Lanigan as Bishop of Goulburn in 1867.
Holdings include policy/administrative records of the Archdiocese. Small collections of papers of some former clergy are also held.
Item lists held onsite, in the form of paper lists and electronic spreadsheets.
Open Thursdays and Fridays 9.30am-4.30pm, by appointment only.
All access must be approved by the Chancellor. There is no access to information that has an ongoing sensitivity.
A fee is charged for reference services undertaken by the archivist.
A fee is charged for photocopying.
