Swan Hill is a city in the northwest of Victoria on the Murray Valley Highway and on the south bank of the Murray River.

There is a broad range of information in various formats about the history of the region. There are several photograph collections including:
- A Feldtmann, 1880s-1970
- D Price, 1880s-1965
- K Dunoon, 1890-1938
- G Warne, 1880s.
Other holdings include Arthur Feldtmann typed manuscripts, Back to booklets, committee minutes, local newspapers, Mallee Oral History Collection, local Indigenous information, information about pioneers, local history books and family histories.

Open Monday to Friday 10am-5.30pm, Wednesday evening 7pm-8.30pm, Saturday 10am-12pm.
Closed public holidays and Christmas-New Year period.

Accessibilité
Most items are shelved in an open access collection. However some items are kept in a closed access collection. Items stored in the closed access collection can be obtained through assistance from library staff during normal opening hours.

Library staff are available to assist anyone who visits the library in person. Information requests can also be handled by the library's Information Officer via email and telephone.
The Swan Hill Genealogical and Historical Society is also based in the library and volunteers from the society are available 10am-3pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from February to December, or by appointment.
Services de reproduction
Photocopying and scanning is available in the library. Copies of photos held in the collection can be organised for a fee but do need to be sent away.
