Ringwood and District Historical Society, Melbourne
The Ringwood and District Historical Society exists to collect, preserve and promote material relating to the history of Ringwood, Victoria, and local districts.
Its purposes are three-fold:
Ringwood is a suburb of Melbourne, 23 km east of Melbourne's Central Business District. It is in the local government area of the City of Maroondah.
Material relating to the history of Ringwood and local districts.
The Archives includes newspapers, journals, books, personal histories, maps, plans, photographs and other material and artefacts.
One key sub-collection is the Ringwood Technical School Archives collection.
Open on Saturdays, 10am-midday and Wednesdays, 6.30-8.30pm or contact the society to make other arrangements.
