Pymble Ladies’ College is associated with the Uniting Church in Australia and caters for girls in five schools on the one campus. Originally known as the Presbyterian Ladies’ College Pymble (or PLC Pymble), it was founded in 1916 as a branch of Presbyterian Ladies’ College, Croydon.
In 1919, the College was dedicated as the property of the Presbyterian Church of New South Wales 'for the higher education of girls and their moral and religious upbringing'.
After the establishment of the Uniting Church in Australia in 1977, which saw the coming together of the Methodist, Presbyterian and Congregational Churches, PLC Pymble became Pymble Ladies’ College.
Pymble is divided into five separate schools on the one campus. All five schools have their own Head of School, and the Junior, Middle, Upper and Senior Schools also have their own Deputy Head of School. The five schools also have their own distinct precinct: Preparatory School: Kindergarten to Year 2 Junior School: Year 3 to Year 6 Middle School: Years 7 and 8 Upper School: Years 9 and 10 Senior School: Years 11 and 12
