Pulteney Grammar School, Adelaide
Pulteney Grammar School is an Anglican co-educational school teaching from Early Learning Centre to Year 12. Founded in 1847, teaching began in May 1848. Originally located in Pulteney Street and known as Pulteney Street School, it moved to the current location on South Terrace in 1921 and became Pulteney Grammar School. The school was co-educational until 1884 when it became an all boys school. It returned to co-education in 1999.
The Pulteney Grammar School Archives aims to preserve records and artefacts that illustrate the origins, development and continuing history of the school.
Holdings include material related to the school's administration, publications, photographs, objects and textiles and records relating to old scholars and extra curricular activities.
Includes:
Open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday by appointment.
Open by appointment only.
Proof of identity required.
Specific permission may be required to access some records.
Items may only be viewed in the archives under supervision of the Archivist.
General reference assistance available.
Limited copying service available for paper based items, subject to conservation assessment.
