The John Curtin Prime Ministerial Library (JCPML) which opened in February 1998, recognises the contribution to Australian society of war-time prime minister and international statesman, John Curtin (1885-1945). He was prime minister from 1941 to 1945.
It is Australia’s first prime ministerial library and is situated on the Bentley campus of Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia. The JCPML aims to advance knowledge and enrich culture by providing a focus for research and educational programs which engage Curtin staff, students and the wider community.
The JCPML collection includes personal papers, oral histories, photographs, film and sound recordings, copies of official records, memorabilia, artworks and other archival material.
The JCPML has digitised material in its own collection and provides electronic access to these items through the Electronic Research Archive (ERA) available through its home pages at: https://jcpml.curtin.edu.au/
