Heidelberg Historical Society was established in 1967, and has had its headquarters at the historic Old Heidelberg Court House since 1979.
We collect material relating to the district of Heidelberg as existed from time to time within the boundaries of the District and Shire of Heidelberg, the City of Heidelberg and Banyule City Council.
Books, maps, photographs, objects, real estate brochures, certificates, art works, business records, newsletters, directories and oral histories related to the district of Heidelberg.

Open February-end of November Sundays 2-5pm.
Closed Easter.
Check for occasional changes:
A small charge is made for entry to the museum, except for society members, who can enter free of charge.
On Sundays, parking is generally available in Jika Street.
Assistance is available in the research room. The online catalogue is available on each computer.

Paid research can be undertaken on application through email.
Printouts of photographs and maps available for a charge. Digital images can be sent by email or posted on CD (postage extra) for a charge.
