Echuca Historical Society Inc has been operating since 1960 focusing on the settlement of Echuca, Victoria and Moama, New South Wales. The society runs a museum and and has a priceless collection of the riverboat era and early life in Echuca.

Incorporated, volunteer based.

Collection holds early council rates, newspapers and documents.

Located in the National Trust registered Old Police Station, Echuca.

Open daily 11am-3pm.
Closed Good Friday and Christmas Day.

Entry to Museum $5 adults.
Note that due to the nature of our archives, public access is not possible: that is, you can not undertake your research personally. The society undertakes research for the public for a fee. The first request costs $30; further costs will be advised/discussed. Forty-eight hours notice is preferred if you want to speak with a researcher.
Also note an embargo may apply to some sensitive records/files.

Echuca is served by regular rail/road services from capital cities. Parking is available on the street. Special disability access is available, for advice phone 0454 801 325 beforehand.

The public can not undertake research personally. The society undertakes research for the public for a fee. Generally research enquiries will be answered in approximately four weeks.
