The Goldfields War Museum had its origins towards the end of 1970s when the Boulder Shire Council and the Boulder Development Committee wished to establish a tourist precinct. The collection has over 2000 items, of which many are photographs, documents and maps.
The Goldfields War Museum Collection tells the personal stories of the servicemen and servicewomen of the Goldfields area. The City's Local History Archives collects civic material relating to the area in the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder boundary.
