History
The Bundanoon History Group was formed by interested local residents in the early 1980s and has met monthly since 1984.
Its primary objectives are to research and preserve the early history of Bundanoon and the surrounding district and to promote interest in its local history.
Members have amassed an extensive collection of written and photographic material, which is available for inspection and research.
The acquisition of the historic Old Goods Shed at Bundanoon railway station in 1994 was a major step in the development of the group. It provided a venue where this material could be housed and appropriately displayed.

The archive collection contains written and digital information, images and photographs, relating primarily to Bundanoon. It includes over 2,000 digital photographs, dating from about 1860. A recent initiative is the collection of recorded oral histories involving long-term residents of the village.

A research service is available for members, visitors and non-members.
Bundanoon History Group Volunteers undertake to conduct thorough searches of all text and pictorial archives and databases and can provide written reports and photocopies as appropriate.
