Both Berri and Barmera libraries in the Riverland region of South Australia hold local history collections, although the Berri Barmera Local Heritage Collection at the Berri Library and Information Centre is the more comprehensive.
This collection was opened in 1996 with the support of the District Council of Berri and the local community, the collection has continued to grow, containing today, many photographs, pamphlets, books, un-published works and numerous other items. For further information, see the website.

Berri and Barmera are primarily agricultural and viticultural towns in the Riverland region of South Australia.
Berri is 238 kilometres north-east of Adelaide on the north bank of the Murray River. Barmera is on the Sturt Highway A20, 220 kilometres north-east of Adelaide and is located on Lake Bonney Riverland, a freshwater lake.
