Archives Office, Anglican Diocese of Adelaide
The Church of England arrived in South Australia in 1836, with the first colonists. The Diocese of Adelaide was formed in 1847.
The Diocesan archives office was established in the 1990s.
The Archives operates under the terms of a policy mandated by the Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Adelaide.

The Archives Office of the Anglican Diocese of Adelaide collects general administrative records of the Anglican Diocese of Adelaide and associated agencies and entities of the church.
More broadly, the archives collects material relating to the history and development of the Anglican Church in South Australia.
The office is staffed Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9am-5pm. Research access is by arrangement with the archivist.
Research enquiries should be made in writing. Research fees may apply. No charge is made to former residents of diocesan homes or their descendants for information about their time in care.
