History

The Shire of Knox Historical Society was established in 1965. It:

  • Compiles and maintains historical records of the Knox District and displays historical artefacts and photographs
  • Provides and disseminates information to students, researchers and the community and publishes material
  • Participates in local community celebrations and organises meetings
  • Works in conjunction with other historical societies and museums

The Ambleside Park Museum is open Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays 1-4pm and at other times by appointment.
A limited research service is available at the Museum on Sundays, 1-4pm.

The Resource Centre is closed until further notice. However, research queries can be made:

  • at the Ambleside Park Museum; or
  • via email to khs@relics.com; or
