The Heritage Collection was begun in 1974 with the intention of collecting material which records the origins, progress and activities of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

It is located in the Avondale College of Higher Education, Lake Macquarie Campus.

We aim to collect, preserve, research and exhibit the heritage and development of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and its subsidiaries within Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Extensive photographic collection, particularly Pacific Islands missions.

• Documents: church records/bulletins, letters, reports, minutes, biographies, stories, paper clippings, sermon notes/research, etc.
• Films: home movies, evangelistic and mission, short features, etc.
• Photographs: buildings, events, places, people, etc.
• Charts: evangelistic, Bible, MV, Pathfinders etc.
• Manuscripts: books, pamphlets and serials which are listed in the Avondale College Library Catalogue.
• Models and artefacts: clothing, gowns, buildings, projectors, nails, tiles etc.
• Videos: college and division productions.

Monday to Thursday 1-4pm or by appointment.

Advance notice of each visit is required.

Closed period applying to records varies with categories. Access to records not normally available for research can be granted to approved applications.

Reference assistance available in person or by mail.

Copying services available for most material.
