- Open Monday 7pm-9pm, Tuesday to Thursday 10am-3pm, Saturday and Sunday 1pm-4pm. Closed Fridays, all public holidays except Exhibition Wednesday in August, and for one month over the Christmas/New Year holiday period. Photocopying available.

- Access available to members and members of societies with reciprical arrangements. Others will be charged a visitors fee.

- QFHS maintains a comprehensive library of reference material not only for Queensland but also for other Australian States and several overseas countries, including birth, death and marriage records, census reords, convict records and court records.
