Kalamunda and Districts Historical Society Inc, Western Australia
The Kalamunda and Districts Historical Society assisted with the establishment in 1984 of the Kalamunda Local History Collection located at the Kalamunda Library. A collection of historic records was established for research purposes and general interest. The collection provides information about Kalamunda, Lesmurdie, Forrestfield, High Wycombe, Maida Vale and neighbouring suburbs and localities within the City of Kalamunda. The Kalamunda and Districts Historical Society manages the largest local history museum in Western Australia, depicting the unique hills life and industries centred around the development of the Kalamunda area. The Kalamunda History Village and Stirk Cottage are situated in pleasant surroundings close to the centre of the Kalamunda town site.
